Hi Everyone
Sorry i was not able to get on to write for the last couple games but I wont fail my fellow Winged followers.
Both of the last 2 games have been a 4-3 heartbreak for the Wings, last game was horrible for a Wings fan. Jimmy let in a couple bad shots after being up 3-1 and once again the power play killed Detroit in Game 3 as Joe Pavelski netted 2 power play goals. What is going on with the Wings? They cant get a break after knocking off Phoenix, is the travel to much for them, they should be used to it after playing in the Western Conference for so long time will once again tell.
Game 4 will be in Detroit and its do or die as the Sharks have a 3-0 strangle hold. Joe Pavelski MUST be contained in order to win and Jimmy Howard must be better and the Wings veterans need to shut down San Jose’s stars.
Game 4 is our last chance guys! Dont let us down!

Whats wrong with the Wings ?? hmm lets see…they are overmatched by a better team and have a poor goaltender, and by that im not referring to his contract…..cant expect them to make a run this year…they have overachieved already by beating the Yotes….

I wouldn’t say overmatched but they are being out played… Howard is a magnificent young goaltender and should win the Calder trophy and since they can only sign an entry level contract to a rookie there is nothing you can do about that. Overachieved is also a shot as Phoenix had very little experience to Detroit’s dynasty like status in playoff competition they were the number 5th seed against number 5 the closest 2 possible seeds had they been 8th and PHoenix been 1st id say they did over achieve, Montreal has over achieved but over achieving is what it takes to win a stanley cup

replace magnificent, with solid with potential and you would be accurate.

I’ll admit I was harsh on the young lad. But he’s too green to be counted on to carry them in the playoffs. The Yotes were a solid team all year, Detroit was hovering in 9th-8th place most of the year until they made their late push. The Dynasty team u speak of has been disasembled to an extent. Its not the same team and theres no way they come back on the Sharks. And I agree that you need to overachieve to win it all….coming back from 3 down is unthinkable at this point.

and calling Howard a “magnificent young goaltender” is a stretch…26 years old, has been playing with Detroit since 2005 and has won 1 series in his career because he has played most of his career in the AHL…couldnt beat out an old Ossie in all those years….still I agree he has played well this year. Needs more playoff experience.
