Last nights game of Detroit vs San Jose was a complete defensive breakdown on the part of the Sharks… that and the fact that Johan Franzen was an absolute beast while racking up 4 goals and 2 assists. It did not look to me like Nabokov was the cause of most of the 5 goals scored in the first period but nonetheless, something needed to be done to stop the onslaught. The Sharks just did not come mentally prepared for this game at all. When a team is down 3-0 in a series and has their backs against the wall then they will do anything that they can do to scratch and claw their way back into the mix. Well they pushed back alright. Though not very likely that the Wings will win this series, I am 100% sure that we will see that same effort tomorrow night at The Tank and, if need be, future games in the series. I expect to see the Sharks give quite a bit more effort in game 5 and to physically wear Detroit down so they can get some offensive going. Here is hoping for a closer tomorrow night and a trip to the Western Conference Finals.
P.S. I got invited to tomorrows game but am unable to make it due to a close friends birthday get together. You better not make me regret giving up the ticket!
P.S.S. You better have the Sharks game on!
