Splitter will be playing in the Spurs pre-season game on Oct. 16th. The only question is, whose jersey will he be wearing?
On October 16th the San Antonio Spurs, the owners of the NBA rights to Splitter, will play Spanish League team Caja Laboral, the team for which the 7-foot Brazilian currently plays, in a pre-season game at the AT&T Center.
GM R.C. Buford is working to get Splitter to San Antonio, as a member of the Spurs. Splitter has an opt-out clause in his contract with Caja Laboral, but to become a free agent he must exercise the clause by July 15th, so a lot of the drama will be taken out of the situation by then.
Hopefully Buford can get it done…..
…because I’d like to see this in silver and black.
