The Dolphins have signed fifth-round pick Reshad Jones to a four-year, $1.95 million contract, a small amount for such talent. The rookie will continue to compete for the open free safety position in the coming months. During the draft I had hoped the Dolphins would acquire Jones in the third round and was ecstatic when he dropped to the fifth and we got him. Once again, Mr. Parcells, you prove yourself wiser than me.
The first three draft picks for the ‘Phins (Jared Odrick, Koa Misi, and John Jerry) remained unsigned. Hopefully the team provides them with adequate contracts before camp starts.
