Pre-game: On RDS (Als French TV network), Ben Cahoon said that his wife decides at the end of the season if he retires or keeps playing. She must need some alone time if she keeps sending him back with the Als! lol

Also, in a live pre-game interview on RDS, Larry Smith was extremely proud of the renovations at Molson Stadium.

Annie Villeneuve (girlfriend of Minnesota Wild forward Guillaume Latendresse) singing the National Anthem.

Coach Tresman on sideline interview said that he is not happy at all with the team’s offense last week.

Pre-game ceremonies to celebrate the 2009 Grey Cup win coming up.

Q1 15:00- Game finally underway
Q1 12:46- Damon Duval kicks a 24-yd FG to give the Als a 3-0 lead on their opening drive.
Q1 11:37- Alouettes will get good field position after that weak punt. They will start in Hamilton’s zone.
Q1 8:33 – Damon Duval kicks his 2nd FG of the night. This one was a 46 yd kick to give the Als a 6-0 lead
Q1 6:20- After 3 flags against the Als, a procedure call against the Ticats
Q1 2:34 – The Alouettes gave up huge yards from penalties but did a great job stopping the Tigercats twice on the 1 yard line. Hamilton gets on the scoreboard with a 19-yd FG. Als lead 6-3.
Q1 0:00- Tigercats controlling the 1st Quarter but trail by 3 at the end of Q1.

Q2 13:21- Missed FG by DeAngelis and the Ticats still trail by 3. DeAngelis a 50% success rate on FGs. That is not good !
Q2 9:00- According to TSN.CA, Jim Popp about to sign a contract extension with the Alouettes.
Q2 8:23- Cahoon with at least 1 catch in 131 consecutive games. Calvillo is down and headed to the sidelines. Hopefully it won’t be too severe for the QB. Duval kicks his 3rd FG of the night to give the Als a 6 point lead in this FG battle.
Q2 7:23 – Calvillo heads to the dressing room. Leak warming up on the sidelines
Q2 4:00 – DeAngelis kicks a 27-yd FG and the Als lead now cut to 3.
Q2 2:23- Als get a single and now lead 10 to 6
Q2 0:00- Damon Duval misses a 50-yd FG attempt and everyone (including myself) were holding their breath when Thigpen was returning the FG. He has had success in that department this season. Alouettes have not scored a TD in the last 6 quarters. A highly unusual stat for the Alouettes. Local artist Marie-Mai coming up with the half-time show.

Halftime show: Marie-Mai singing Highway to hell ! That is where the Alouettes may possibly end up if they don’t start scoring TDs. Several Als players told David Arsenault from RDS that the extra 5000 people in the stadium make a difference.

Q3 9:09- David Duval kicks a 45-yd FG to give the Alouettes a 13 to 6 lead in the 3rd quarter. This is a very defensive game!
Q3 8:25- Let’s see if the Alouettes will be able to score a TD following that turnover.
Q3 7:29- Guess not! 5th FG of the night for Duval. He has scored all 16 points of the Als tonight!
Q3 4:06- Bad night for the Tigercats kickers as a punt is blocked by Griffin and the Als start with the ball deep in Hamilton’s zone.
Q3 2:50- Alouettes can’t capitalize again and Duval has to come on the field to kick his 6th FG and Duval leads Hamilton 19-6.
Q3 0:00- The coach’s lack of confidence in his kicker leads to the Ticats 3rd turnover of the quarter. Big stop by Chip Cox.

Q4 12:39- The Alouettes finally score a TD on a 32-YD pass by Anthony Calvillo. The Als 1st TD in over 7 quarters of play. Als 2 point conversion attempt is successful and the Alouettes lead by 3 TDs.
Q4 6:56- Duval ties a club record with his 7th FG of the night. Als lead 30 to 6.
Q4 6:30- The QB change of the Ticats finally pays off as Porter throws a TD pass to Bruce and convert the 2 point conversion. Als lead 30 to 14.
Q4 2:02 – Alouettes on a roll and score a 2nd TD in this quarter after going 7 quarters without a TD. Kerry Carter with the catch to make it 37 to 14 for the Alouettes.
Q4 1:06- Chris Leak in at QB to run the clock down.
Q4 0:00- Game over. The Als beat the Ticats. Damon Duval is my vote for player of the game.
