Caps sign both Muscle and Import

It’s a debate that’s been going on between mechanics, pubescent teenagers and Need for Speed gamers for decades. Should you go for the torque and brute force of American Muscle or sacrifice the brute image and go for a smaller, faster import model? Well in this case, the Caps figured to hell with all that bullcrap and decided to go with both by signing both Tomas Fleischmann and D.J King recently.

The Fleischmann deal was obvuiously a no-brainer. The guy’s fast as hell and had a breakout season last year with his 51 points. He embodies the image of the Caps in the last couple of seasons; fast, agile and dangerous as hell.

On the other side, out of all the players currently playing in the NHL at this time, D.J freaking King is definitely one of the many people who do not belong in the Boudreau system. Whenever anyone thinks of this team right away they think of finesse, insane individual ability and one of the fastest teams in the NHL today. Where in the hell does D.J King fit into that? To be honest, I can’t even see the Caps needing an enforcer at this time. Ovechkin’s showed us that he’s willing to drop the gloves (when the guy’s looking up at him, unlike Crosby who likes to pounce on people while they have their heads down for the face-off) and Semin has those crazy hooks going for him.

All jokes put aside, there’s no need for King at this time, I honestly have no idea why he was brought in to this organization.
