I love this game

Baseball at its best, the Padres and Giants series has not disappointed one bit.  A playoff  like atmosphere in San Francisco, and two teams that are playing well and play the game the right way.  These two teams are so similar and they rely on the same brand of baseball.  Good starting pitching, clutch hitting, great defense, and lights out relievers throwing in the mid 90′s.  The teams are so similar it makes for such exciting baseball when the two teams match up.  The edge of your seat low scoring every pitch matters brand of baseball I love best.  I was driving home from central California which is Giants country after visiting my wife’s parents and I caught the first game of the series on the radio in my car.  Now most people would not enjoy a six hour car ride with a baby in the back seat but for me having a Padres  game to listen to made it an all too joyful experience.  Baseball is known by some as the boring sport, some can’t watch a whole game on T.V. and would never listen to entire game on the radio.  These people are missing out, there is so much to the game of baseball.  The strategies and moves of managers, the second guessing of their decisions and the questioning of the umpires calls are a much different experience when listening to a game on the radio.  It was a great game and a perfect way for the Padres to start the series off.  After dropping game two of the series on Saturday the Padres are back to being up on the Giants by 2.5 games and looking to win the series tonight in San Francisco.  Mat Latos threw really well on Saturday and the Padres had a lot of hits but they missed out on a few opportunities to really put the game away.  Today’s game is Tim Lincecum against Wade LeBlanc.  Lincecum has not been sharp of late and I’m looking for the padres to touch him up a little.
