Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem was arrested for marijuana possession last night. The discovery apparently came during a traffic stop here in Miami on the Gratigny Parkway. Some outlets like ESPN have reported it was a felony, but that appears to be incorrect. This story is just starting to develop, so I am not going to issue any strong opinions just yet. Except of course that simply possession of small amounts of weed should not be illegal. Driving under the influence, of course, should be treated the same as alcohol.
