I am pretty much getting a little frustrated with the Islander organization. I just don’t get them; maybe it is because we really do need a new arena or something. The Islanders in last couple of weeks have signed Jon Sim and also Andy Hilbert. Yeah you heard it right Sim and Hilbert. Even though it is a two way contract for both I just don’t believe this. We are the only team in the league who gets rid of mediocre players and then after a year or two bring them back. What do these players bring to a young farm system?? Let me answer that with a simple word NOTHING! What was the meaning of these signings?? Only God knows the answer to that question.
I know there are plenty of guys out there who would love a shot at the AHL and NHL who are a lot more talented then these guys. There is a reason no other team wanted them. There was a reason why the Wild never played Hilbert. The Islanders do not see that. All they see is a cheap signing that if something happens can jump back on the Coliseum ice and contribute. All I see is a bigger joke than what we are already? Why not use our energy on signings guys that can actually help this team. I am sick of being a laughing stock of this league. There is a lot of heritage here but come on already enough is enough. No more garbage. I am waiting for the announcement know “Yashin and Kvasha are back to the Island” Good Grief Charlie Wang!!

I am an avid Islander fan and I tell it the way it is. If the Islanders are playing bad well there is no sugar coating it. I live on Long Island and have been a fan since PAt Lafontaine got traded.
