Thanks to my good friends the Erbs I was able to attend the second pre-season game for the Chargers. They lost late in the game to the Dallas Cowboys 16-14. This was by far the best pre-season game I have ever been to. I have only been to four previous pre-season games and this one was different from the rest. The stadium was electric, it was sold out and there was Cowboys fans everywhere. I woke up the next morning not being able to talk, due to all the cheering and yelling. I had to stand up for my team to the 30 something Cowboys fans in our section. I had to tell them how bad the Cowboys suck and how much better the Chargers will be this year. I don’t care how many rings you have and that you claim to be Americas team, I hate the Cowboys. Just because when you were in elementary school the Cowboys were winning championships doesn’t mean you have to jump on the band wagon, I’ve seen it a thousand times.
The Chargers looked good again, they had some costly turnovers but the team looked to move the ball well on offense when the starters were in the game. Ryan Mathews is going to be really exciting this year. In two games so far this year Mathews has 103 yards on the ground and has 4.9 yards per carry. Against the Cowboys he had 12 carries for 53 yards and ran strong up the middle of the Cowboys 3-4 defense.
The experience of watching a NFL game in good seats is unmatchable. Every play brings so much intensity.
