One more pre-season game to go and then we get the real thing. The Chargers are 1-2 in the meaningless pre-season but looking good. The first team offense has been putting up points and moving the ball well. The running game is much improved and hopefully the O-line can stand strong. The Chargers Defense should be much better this year with Merriman coming back after a full season since his injury. The Chargers pass rush can come from anywhere in Merriman, Phillips and English. I’m putting my money on English for a huge year. So I have done two fantasy football drafts so far and I will post my results. One thing I have to share is Ryan Matthews was picked fourth over all in my draft last night and I am in the Ryan Matthews fan club, President and founder, but I think that may have been too high. I am in two leagues with the same set-up with twelve teams. Here are my results. With my first draft I had the 9th pick and the second the 2nd pick.
QB Tony Romo Matt Ryan
RB LeSean McCoy Chris Johnson
RB Matt Forte Matt Forte
WR Andre Johnson Roddy White
WR Chad Johnson Miles Austin
RB/WR Lauerence Maroney Dexter McCluster/Jeremy Maclin
TE Antonio Gates Jason Witten
DEF Packers Chargers
Which team do you think is better One or two?
Side Note- While writing this blog I have been enjoying a Blue Heron beer made by Mendocino Brewing Co. and it is delicious.
