Little trouble in big D

Alright, what is this I am hearing about the Dallas Cowboys already having trouble and everyone throwing this years Cowboy squad under the bus before the regular season has even started?
Yes, it can be said that the Cowboys have not played to their potential in their first four pre-season games so far this pre-season but people, come on, it’s the pre-season for that exact reason. Look at the Miami Dolphins who played so great in the pre-season but then last year, well the regular season is a different ball game.
It has been rumoured that the Cowboys will be playing more regulars in the last pre-season game against the Miami Dolphins September 2nd in Dallas. Coach Wade Phillips has been quoted , “We’re not ready for prime time yet” .
So far this pre-season the offence has sputtered, both passing and the running the ball. Only running back Tashard Choice has been having a good pre-season and now we need Choice, Felix Jones and Marian Barber to get on track and the Cowboys will succeed. The defence also has been sputtering so far this pre-season and the Cowboys thought they got better in that department so time will tell but certainly the Cowboys have to make the opponent fear being on offence come the regular season. Turnovers baby and not by the Cowboys is the theme. Quarterback Tony Romo has to show everyone he can take the Cowboys to the playoffs and win. The Cowboys schedule is one of the toughest in the NFL this year, so if they can win their division they will be battle tested.
Coach Phillips who has a history of not playing his starters in the last pre-season game opts to change that by playing starters on Thursday night, watch for potentially Dez Bryant to be in uniform and maybe getting in some game time. I won’t go to the degree of back to square one but September 12; the Cowboys are in Washington who looks to be a lot better so it will be interesting and a tough season all around the NFL.
As always comments and questions are welcomed. Earlier today, it was noted that the Cowboys released tight end Scott Sicko and wide receiver Terrell Hudgins.
