Say it ain’t so

The Padres have lost seven games in a row.  The team is in a real slump.  When the team hits they don’t pitch well and when they pitch well they don’t hit.  Thatis how losing streaks happen.  The good news is the Padres are still in FIRST PLACE and have a three game lead on the Giants.  The momentum is definitely not with the Padres right now, but the second they snap this losing skid things will turn right around.

The Padres have to end this quickly, they can’t allow all  the experts out their to say “I told you so”.  Since everyone out their was waiting for the Padres to fold.  We have to prove this season was no fluke and surge into the playoffs.  The Padres are 76-56 and are still trying to prove themselves as a legit N.L. contender.  Us Padres fans know this is a good team and every good team goes through a rough stretch.  Although it is hard to watch when your team is struggling and nothing seems to be going their way.  We still have to remember the team that brought us here and believe that they will turn things around.  There is nothing more I want to see then the Padres make the playoffs and prove everyone wrong.  To show all the N.L. West teams that the road to the playoffs comes through San Diego.

Mat Latos pitched great again and gave His team a chance to win.  The offense only put up two runs on Wednesday but they did come up with a clutch hit when Will Veneble hit a go ahead RBI single.  Gregerson gave up the go ahead home run and has been up and down for a while now.  We just have to hope that the bullpen can hold up and be lights out like they have been, for the rest of the year.  The good thing about this losing streak is Gregerson, Adams, and Bell have been getting plenty of rest after being depended on night after night most of the season.

Side Note- The Chicago White Sox now have Manny Rameriz, Andruw Jones, and Jaun Pierre and they arn’t paying them 60 million dollars!  HaHa Dodgers.
