It’s Wednesday! That means we can officially turn the page from Saturday in South Bend to Saturday night in Michigan State. Lets link it!
Sidebar: When hasn’t this been an issue? However, as to the point that the defense is on the field a lot, I think that will improve with Crist playing the whole game Saturday. Long, sustained drives are much more likely with Crist than they are with the two backups.
Sidebar: These two always seam to have great games, no matter what the records.
Sidebar: It’ll be a different type of run stopping than a week ago. Where Notre Dame had to protect against the threat of the pass with Robinson, they can play the run more traditionally against Michigan State. I think they’ll have success doing this.
This day in Irish history – 1975
1975: The Dan Devine era at Notre Dame kicks off in heart-stopping fashion, as the Irish fight off a determined Boston College team to post a 17-3 victory at Foxboro, Massachusetts. “Pressure? I never would have taken this job if I thought I was going to die in my very first game,” Devine says. He would win only two more games, however, before suffering his first defeat at the hands of Michigan State. – irishlegends.com
Enjoy Wednesday. 2 days until Michigan State.
