Better Late Than Never

Hey all, my name is Nick Vance and I’ll be your new PSB source for everything Texas Christian University football! I know I’m a little late to for the start of the season but I’m here now so I hope you’re ready for some Horned Frogs football.
This week the Horned Frog’s will face an old foe in Baylor. This will be the 106th meeting between the Bears and the Frog’s. The two teams were at one time in the Southwest Conference together. This will be their 3rd meeting since the SWC dissolved in 1996.
After the end of the SWC Baylor moved to the Big 12 and TCU was relegated to stints in the smaller WAC, Conference USA and currently the Mountain West Conference. This perceived betrayal of TCU by Baylor and other SWC teams and the Big 12′s snub of the Frogs has added a lot to this rivalry.
Ironically since the demise of the SWC the Bears have not played in a bowl game and TCU has finished in the top 10 in the AP poll the last two years. It’s the same old story this year as the Frogs come into the game ranked 4th in the country and a two touchdown favorite over the Bears.
Baylor on the other hand is coming of two wins against University’s their students had never heard of before arriving on campus and picked to finish in the basement of the Big 12 yet again. A healthy Robert Griffin gives the Bears an outside shot against any team but they still look to be sorely outmatched by the BCS bound Frogs.
Here’s a parting shot for you, why in the world is Boise State getting a 1st place vote after beating now unranked(and embarrassed) Virginia Tech and TCU is not after beating RANKED Oregon State. That doesn’t make sense at all. Show TCU some love writers of America. I better see at least one first place vote next week if they get past Baylor. AP you have been called out!
