Cowboys in a must win situation

Dallas goes into this Sunday in what could be viewed as a must win game for them. After the debacle in Washington, the team is looking to rebound in a big way against Chicago at home in the “Death Star” as it’s called. Think they can rebound and beat the Bears? I do.
Two reasons. Marc Colombo and Kyle Kosier. These two will bring back not only stability to the line, which it clearly lacked throughout the Washington game, but it will also bring back some faith to Tony Romo and Jason Garrett in their ability to run the offense. They will help an offense that looked frantic at times and even scared to have the ball in Romo’s hands for more than 3 seconds.
As bad as Dallas looked last Sunday, they didn’t look irreparably damaged or completely inept. Romo didn’t turn the ball over, that was more on Tashard Choice, Miles Austin looked to be every bit the superstar many hoped he would be after breaking out last season with 10 receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown, the ground game can only get better with its returning linemen and averaged 4.6 yards a carry without them, and the defense was solid holding the Redskins to 260 total yards of offense. So all hope is not lost for the season. Not yet at least.
If the Cowboys were to go 0-2 then they could be in real trouble. The next 4 games on their schedule will not be easy and they need to establish some momentum. If they lose they will have to go into Houston to play a team that could be red hot if they get the win against Washington this Sunday, followed by another strong team on the rise in Tennessee, then Minnestoa and the New York Giants. From here on Dallas’ schedule doesn’t get any easier so this game needs to count if the Boys want any shot at making the playoffs. And it needs to be a strong win.
The Cowboys are taking shots, being called over hyped, soft, and pretenders throughout the league. This game needs to be a statement for them. Playing against Chicago won’t be an easy win by any means. They have some young play makers at wide receiver in Devin Aromashodu, Johnny Knox, and Devin Hester along with Matt Forte at the running back position in a Mike Martz system and their defense is not one to be taken lightly. Julius Peppers will likely bring pressure on the O-line and Chicago may look to test the rust Marc Colombo may have accumulated on the right side after missing most of preseason.
Dallas will be able to bring it together in the end and pull out a win, and they better because with their upcoming schedule every win is going to count.
