So week 2 is here and some of us are reeling from week 1 loses and need a win. Hopefully like any good fantasy manager you were able to make a few adjustments through a carefully planned bench or even through a good waiver wire pickup. The great thing about week 2 is that we get a better outlook on team match ups and can better gauge which teams have gotten better both offensively and defensively. Here are some players to run or sit.
Arian Foster – If you were able to get him in the draft like I did you were singing his praises last Sunday as he ran over the Indy defense for 231 yards. Now he goes up against Washington who game up 103 yards against a struggling offensive line last week. Houston’s line has had a few years to gel and now that they have Foster is the primary beneficiary.
Roddy White – White was targeted 23 times last week! He went for 13 receptions and 111 yards. This was against the Steelers D and even if White is targeted half that much this next week he could be in line for a great day.
Shonn Greene – Greene had a terrible game and if he hasn’t lost his starting spot he is definitely in a time share now. He fumbled twice and was held out towards the end of the game. Now the Jets are going to New England whose run defense looks like it has come together. If you drafted Greene I’m sorry, I wouldn’t dump him yet, but it would be a good idea to search for options on waivers if you haven’t already.
Mike Sims-Walker – Whatever is happening with Jacksonville or Sims-Walker, it’s not likely to change this week. He was held without a catch by Denver and Champ Bailey. Don’t look for him to improve on that too much this week. I wouldn’t drop him just yet, but if this roll over from the end of last season’s production continues then it might be time to part ways with the wide out.
Keep an eye on them
Brandon Jackson – With Ryan Grant out Jackson will assume the lead back role in Green Bay. Buffalo gave up 132 yards on the ground between Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams and after loosing Paul Posluszny they aren’t looking any better. If there is a week to run Jackson it’s this week, especially with trade talks out there about Green Bay acquiring another back.
Marcedes Lewis – After a 2 touchdown game Lewis is looking like a good pick up, but he’s shown flashes in the past before he flamed out. Might give him another week. If he can deliver another solid performance this week at San Diego then snatch him up.
