Last week, things started out with a little bit of hope … that was painfully shattered. This week the first quarter started out with an interception then a fumble then a touchdown by Eddie Royal … apparently putting him in the slot was a good idea. The question then became: can they manage to avoid repeating the mistakes they made last week?
Second quarter starts and the Denver Broncos have one heck of a good play where Moreno tossed back to Orton and Orton passed to Royal who made it to 1st and goal. A great play and as the fans cheer a challenge flag is thrown by the Seahawks as they think they think the runner might be down earlier. The ruling on the field stood, so the Broncos remain at 1st and Goal as suspense is building as the fans want the Broncos to score once again. After a couple of plays the Broncos manage to get a touchdown at the start of the second quarter. 14-0… Ahh a much better start to a match, now they just need to keep it. The second quarter ends with slight disappointment, although really the disappointment is fear as the Seahawks look stronger than they should against the Broncos. In the end 17-0 Broncos is what matters.
As the second quarter starts the first noticeable thing is that the special teams for the Broncos need a lot of work. While both offense and defense look strong, special teams looks terrible. As the Seahawks scow in the 3rd quarter the broncos fans start to shiver as last weeks game plays in their hears. However that fear is killed as the Broncos score!
As the game goes on Hasselback runs for a touchdown exposing another weakness in the Denver Broncos defense, but over all the Broncos win 31-14. It’s a great home win for the Broncos. Next week is the worry now.
