Remember Jimmy Clausen? Wore #7, played quarterback for Charlie Weis, outstanding arm? Ring a bell? It only took two awful games by Matt Moore to get “dear jimble” a shot….
From Rotoworld and Darin Gantt:
Panthers coach John Fox announced that rookie Jimmy Clausen will start against the Bengals in Week 3.
And with that, the Matt Moore experiment is over. Clausen was a 34-game starter in Charlie Weis’ pro-style offense at Notre Dame, but questionable character kept him out of the first round. He can only help the cause of top Panthers wideout Steve Smith. But i a run-heavy offense with no No. 2 receiver or pass-catching tight end, Clausen will struggle for QB2 value
