With a 34-7 loss to Green Bay, the Buffalo Bills fall to 0-2 and are in the basement of the AFC East. Trent Edwards passed for 108 yards with 2 interceptions. The only consistency we are seeing with the Bills is low passing yards game after game….after game. The last time they had a 300 yard passing game was way back in 2006 with J.P Losman in a game against the New York Jets. For some perspective, that is a span of 55 games and also the longest streak in the NFL. I can’t seem to pinpoint what the problem is; the offensive line, the play calling or is it that Edwards is just not the QB we want him to be? Could we see a change in QB’s next week? Brian Brohm seems to be the choice of the week from fans. Perhaps he will give us a chance to BILLIEVE!!
Buffalo’s defense on the other hand looked strong… at times. Truthfully, there is only so much defense can do. The offence only went 4/12 on third down efficiency, putting the defense on the field often. The D wasn’t perfect but credit is due for them giving our offence a chance to score some points.
I will be a little more realistic with my predictions from now on. It’s sad to say but if the Bills only beat the Patriots this year I will be happy. We’ll see about that next week.
Side note: My wife still says PFFT to Aaron Rodgers. I concur.
