From what I am reading and hearing, it might be time for this year’s version of the Dallas Cowboys to start pushing the panic button. Let’s hope not, but how can one argue with that? It’s time to look in the mirror, blame everyone and start the season 0-2 with 14 games left and focus on that. This team can’t be doing the same thing after Week 3 , 4 and so forth… The time is now for the Dallas Cowboys to either step up and be a contender or continue to be a pretender. Cowboys’ fans are about to lose their minds right now!
With so many expectations, the Bears did what the Cowboys wanted to do in Week 2: get balance on offense and rely on your defense to create turnovers. Instead it was the Bears who created key turnovers at important times. The final score might make you think that 27-20 is not that bad, but when you lose on home turf after a terrible opener, one has to wonder about the psyche of the team.
The Cowboys again did enough to beat Da Bears but it was Da Bears who came out victorious. Dallas won in almost every offensive category except the key one, rushing the ball. How you run the ball 20 times for 36 yards has to fall on the OC Jason Garrett.
Questions: are the Boys playing with emotion / heart or grit? Seriously, so far the Cowboys look like it doesn’t matter how well we play but that they will get the win anyway from their talent alone. Take a quick look at the standings and the Cowboys are in the cellar. Romo, get that smile off of your face and hit a receiver once in a while! You threw right behind Choice which could have been a key 1st down yesterday. Endless mistakes on Romo’s part. Take leadership now!
I don’t like pointing the finger at certain players but the QB needs to be better for success. The other finger is going towards the sidelines and the brutal play calling I have seen so far from the Coaching staff. The players and the Coaching staff have to be on the same-page for this relationship to work. Yes folks, it is a relationship and you Dallas haters can tee me up on the relationship word if you like, but you play with the same swagger and confidence as your coaching staff.
This week is going to tell everyone what the Cowboys are made of. Dallas is in a must-win situation this coming Sunday, who would have thought that two weeks ago? But things do not get any easier as the Cowboys visit their state neighbours in the Houston Texans, the 2-0 Houston Texans who have defeated the Colts and Redskins. Not to mention the ass whooping Dallas took in the pre-season at Houston.
As always…..comments and questions because clearly we have concerns.
