With the biggest game of the year next week, the Longhorns need to improve their offense this week against UCLA.
UCLA is one of the worst offensive teams in the country, so the defense shouldn’t have too much trouble, considering how they played last week. There are still a number of questions and problems that need to be fixed.
If Newton is unable to play, then Whittaker and Johnson need to get the run game on track and get some big help from an offensive line which hasn’t run-blocked very well all year.
Gilbert has to cut down on the mistakes, but against the Bruins he should be able to air it out. Whatever he does, it needs to be close to what they’re going to do against Oklahoma.
This shouldn’t be close at all, as long as Gilbert doesn’t turn the ball over. Like I said, the biggest game of the year is next week, so lets get it on track Longhorns.
