In Week 3, The Patriots will be facing a much easier opponent than in their first two games, The Buffalo Bills. No team in the NFL can be taken for granted, but The Bills have absolutely nothing going well for them. This week they look to backup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to run the offense. Rookie C.J. Spiller has not done anything with the touches he has been getting, so The Bills are looking to give RB Marshawn Lynch the majority of the carries.
Both teams are coming off bad losses and need to rebound this week. The Bills lost big last week 34-7 to The Green Bay Packers, while The Pats could not compete with their division rival Jets. The Patriots really have to take advantage of the Bills’ current struggles. If they want to win this one with ease, they need to pressure the new starting QB and blitz him as often as they can. That should help the Pats’ defense force some turnovers.
There is not too much that is impressive with the Bills’ defense, so The Pats should just plan to attack. Throw a deep ball to Moss every now and then, while giving Welker a lot of looks and touches. They also need to run the ball with Taylor and Green-Ellis. I do not see the Pats offense doing anything spectacular, but they should be able to manage at least a couple TDs against this average ranked defense. The Pats defense should be doing the majority of the work in this game. I see them forcing around 4 turnovers and scoring a TD.
I think this SHOULD be a pretty easy game for The Patriots. They will come out firing since they came off an embarrassing loss last week. Once they gain a good lead, their offense will slow down, but the defense should be playing with a lot of fire all game. I am expecting the same score the Bills ended with against the Packers last week. Patriots: 34 Bills: 7.
