LSU welcomes in Tennessee

Well, here we are, 4-0 but not impressing anyone.  LSU is currently 12th in the polls and undefeated.  The defense is stingy and the special teams are great.  Patrick Peterson is a man possessed and a outstanding player.  Stevan Ridley is racking up 100 yard games, but none of this hides our inept passing offense.  75 yards.  That is what Jefferson put up last Saturday.  Not even in triple digits, and the natives are restless in Baton Rouge.  They are calling for Lee to come in and hopefully not throw 7 picks for a touchdown.  It is time for improvement by Jefferson or the next part of the schedule will be littered with losses.

Tennessee is coming off a double overtime win vs UAB. (same UAB that beat LSU when Little Nicky was here) Phil Simms second son is the quaterback, but not nearly as good as daddy or older brother.  Plain and simple LSU should leave Death Valley with a victory.  If they don’t, get ready for the boo birds and calls for a change in quaterback.  If the Tigers play solid defense and run the ball all should be ok in the Bayou State.

John Chavis will have something to prove against his old team, and the same can be said for Derek Dooley.  I look forward to an aggressive defensive play calling from Chavis and numerous blitzes. If LSU offense moves the ball and gets it to it’s playmakers I see a 24-14 score on Saturday afternoon. Long ride home back to Rocky Top for the Volunteers.

Geaux Tigers.
