To B Squad or Not to B Squad?

Cheap champagne flowed in Toronto Tuesday night after the Yankees secured a spot in the post-season. Along with bad Canadian beer, the low-rate bubbly marked a milestone a few of the Bombers had not yet achieved, but in true fashion, New York is saving the good stuff for when it really counts.
Joe Girardi is now faced with a dilemma. Do you play your starters in the last four games and shoot for home-field advantage, or are you satisfied being the Wild Card, and rest the 30-somethings that make up the heart of your lineup?
The players want to play, as they should. Home field advantage could be critical to win the pennant, especially in a short ALDS series. Either way the NL gets four at home during the World Series. Is it worth running Jeter, A-Rod, Posada, Mo et al out there for one game in Toronto and three in Fenway?
Jeter pointed out that the team does have Thursday off, and I for one don’t think resting anyone for an entire series is a good idea. Girardi always looks to protect his players, so I’m not sure what he will decide. Either way, the Yankees will roll on to the post-season.
