Late week fantasy pick ups week 4

Here are a few late week pick ups to keep an eye on before the games start this Sunday.

Chrisopher Ivory – Ivory had a tough first game as a Saint with a fumble and 13 yards. However, with Pierre Thomas’ durability issues he could end up starting for the Saints sometime son. Thomas is listed as questionable for the weekend and if you have Thomas Ivory is a must handcuff. Anyone with the Saints backfield to themselves could put up great fantasy numbers. Stash him away if you can.

Ryan Torain – Torain looks like he could see an expanded role and after questions being raised about an already injury prone Clinton Portis, look for Torain to step up. Shanahan originally drafted Torain too, so don’t be surprised if he shows a great deal of faith in Torain.

LeGarrette Blount – Blount ran for only 27 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers, but he only had 6 carries with 2 on the goal line for 0 and 1 yards. Not a big showing, but Tampa is lacking a good back with Carnell Williams’ terrible injuries over the past few seasons leaving him slowed and struggling. Before that widely covered fight Blount had at Oregon, he was a projected early round pick in the draft pick so he has the talent. He probably move him along slowly over the next few weeks so take him to stash him.

Marshawn Lynch – The Bills have been reported to be lessening their asking price for Lynch and both John Clayton, of ESPN, and Mike Lombardi, of NFL network, are reporting that the Bills will deal him before the trade deadline with the Packers being the likely destination. Lynch could be the every down back that the Packers want and he could put up great numbers in that offense. You’ll have to play the waiting game if you grab him, but at least he’s getting time in Buffalo right now if you have to run him.

Lance Moore – Moore had a big game against Atlanta on Sunday, some think it was a one and done effort for Moore after the terrible season he had last year. However, in Moore’s 2008 breakout season a lot of his production came after Reggie Bush got hurt. Now that Bush is out Moore will get more opportunities in kick off duties and on underneath routes that Bush would usually. If your in a pinch Moore is worth a look.

Brandon Lloyd – Lloyd has shown flashes wherever he has gone, but has lacked consistency in production. However, he has never played in a passing offense, which Denver has become this season. Denver currently leads the league in passing, the problem is that Kyle Orton is spreading the ball all over. That being said, Lloyd has put up 2 100 yard games and is worth a look if your thin at the position, he is an injury away from being a great fantasy wide out.
