Knick Links – Friday

Posted By Jordan Lauterbach On Oct 1 2010 @ 5:08 pm In New York Knicks | No Comments

As the days before preseason trickle away (Knicks open Sunday at Milano), new light has been shed on who may start at center, which young’un wrote a book, and why Mike D’Antoni is a god in Italy. Follow the links below to find out what the heck we’re talking about…

Anthony Randolph may grab the center spot by default – MSNBC [1]

Danillo Gallinari is writing a book! – New York Daily News [2]

I love me some Gallo on the court, but I don’t think I’d read his book if he paid me. It being entirely in Italian notwithstanding, what are the chances this book is any good? Will there be a chapter on his back woes? How about some juice on that English teacher he was reportedly dating?… Gallo, you grew up in Italy and now play in the NBA. Your team hasn’t made the playoffs in a league where half the teams make the playoffs. This isn’t worthy of a book. I don’t know if it’s even worthy of a blog. But who am I to judge? I’m also 22, but have never thought of writing a book on my life. Correction, I’ve never thought of publishing a book on my life. ¬†

Mike D’Antoni wishes New York was a little more like Italy – New York Times [3]

Even more on the legend of D’Antoni – New York Post [4]

I love that D’antoni’s nickname was “The Mustache”. I hope this catches on. I think I might just start referring to him at this¬†exclusively.

Enjoy Friday
