Week 4 is almost in the books and some injuries will put the focus on a few players out there. For those owners out there wondering what was happening with Arian Foster, he apparently broke a team rule and was benched for the first quarter of the game. Luckily, Foster came back in for 187 yard 2 TD performance. Here are some injury updates and a few players to grab off the boards as soon as you can.
Michael Bush – If he’s been lingering on the waivers or an owner has given up on him recently, grab him now. McFadden pulled his hamstring during the 4th quarter and hamstring issues have bothered McFadden throughout his career. We won’t know if he will miss any time until probably Monday, but Bush is a good bet. He is showing as available in 90% of leagues.
Kevin Kolb – Another player that owners have probably dropped across the boards with Vick clearly being the starter in Philly. With what is looking to be a rib injury to Michael Vick, Kolb will reassume the starting role may be worth grabbing to plug in for a bye week filler.
Ryan Torain – As I said before this week Torain will get an increased work load and he made the best of it with 70 yards and a TD. Now Portis has a groin injury and will likely miss some time. It was looking like a committee in the backfield and may remain so even with Portis’ injury, however, look for Torain to assume the main role in the Washington backfield. He’s still showing available in 95% of leagues.
Brent Celek – Some owners have dropped Celek and his production has been down with Michael Vick in, but if Kolb gets the next start Celek could see and increase in targets. If he’s out there he’s worth stashing to see how this plays out.
