Week 4 Notes: Sam Bradford is Better Than Advertised

Posted By Bear Heiser On Oct 4 2010 @ 10:00 am In St. Louis Rams | No Comments

You say Sam Bradford, I say poise.

Rookies make mistakes, usually lots of mistakes.

Bradford’s poise in the pocket is perhaps his most impressive attribute.

When he’s faced with pressure, he follows all the rules.

1. Step up or away from pressure, which keeps the play alive

2. Throw the ball away when needed

3. Take a sack, instead of forcing a bad throw

Against Seattle, Bradford made his biggest mistake so far this season, a red zone interception.

The Rams converted 7 of 16 third downs.

Of the 16 tries, 14 of them were passes and two were runs.

All seven conversions were on completions by Sam Bradford.

3rd and 6: 8 yards to Clayton

3rd and 10: 15 yard TD to Gibson

3rd and 5:  9 yards to Gilyard

3rd and 10: 12 yards to Amendola

3rd and 10: 21 yard TD to Darby

3rd and 1: 15 yards to Fells

3rd and 7: 14 yards to Clayton

What’s most impressive part is that both Rams TD’s were scored on 3rd and long.
