2010 MLB Playoff Picks

The playoffs are finally here, and by finally I really mean finally.  The 2010 season was one of the more anti-climatic seasons in recent memory.  Besides the NL West and NL Wildcard, most of the divisional races in baseball really weren’t that close.  Yes, the Rays and Yankees battled in the AL East, but there were no other AL Wildcard contenders that Tampa Bay or New York had to worry about all year to make the AL East race really mean something.  The four AL playoff teams were pretty much solidified a month ago.  In the National League the Cardinals sunk the NL Central and the Phillies were absolutely ridiculous in September to close out their respective divisions.

Over the last couple of years, it’s been the playoffs that have been disappointing.  There’s been a lot of sweeps, especially in the Divisional Rounds.  Hopefully, with the season being so anti-climactic, maybe we’ll get an exciting postseason.
