Oregon looks to continue BCS Run!

Oregon is coming off another impressive win at home against fellow Pac 10 opponent Stanford 52-31. They don’t show any signs of letting up either, the Ducks still lead the nation in scoring and total yards per game. This weekend the Ducks travel to Martin Stadium in Pullman, WA to take on a very weak Cougars team on their homecoming. The Ducks are steadily moving their ways up the polls and getting National attention from a lot of people. Some are already thinking they should end the season playing in the BCS Nation Championship against the likes of Alabama or Ohio State. Personally I think those people are absolutely correct, the Ducks have cruised threw their first 5 games winning by an average of 41 points!!

LaMichael James in finally getting the respect and notoriety he deserves moving up in the experts Heisman Trophy talk after his outstanding performance against the Cardinals. James had 31 carries for 257 yards and 3 TD’s. James is now being referred to as  “LaHeisman” after this past weekend. Although he missed the first game of the season due to a suspension, LaMichael is still rolling over every defense he faces averaging 178 yards per game. I dont think James will let up this weekend either against one of the worst defenses in the Nation.

There is only minor thing the Ducks defense will have to worry about, its Jeff Tuel. The Cougars young sophomore QB has had a very good season year to date throwing for over 1200 yards with 8 TD’s. But with the Ducks very quick and experienced defense i don’t think stopping Tuhl will be a problem.  On the other side at QB another young QB in Darron Thomas has also had a very good year so far leading the nations top offense. Thomas especially looked very good against a tough Stanford team, he seemed to stay very calm in the pocket and made the throws he needed to make. Thomas definitely doesn’t give off a young feel, its one of a season veteran.

Although the ducks are most likely looking forward to their bye week, they cant overlook even the worst team in the Pac 10 this year with it being one of the toughest conference in the nation. Anyone can beat anyone on any given day. But i think the Ducks will tame the cougars once again and win big.

My Prediction is Oregon wins 56-7
