Week 5 will be the Buffalo Bills first win under the Chan Gailey regime. Why? My mother has guaranteed me that the Bills will win. I will take this guarantee and ride it until the game clock runs out. I will be in attendance again this week, good thing because for the first time since 2006 the game will be blacked out.
In a shocker, Bills GM Buddy Nix has all but called this season a rebuilding year. REALLY? I couldn’t tell ! By releasing Trent Edwards and trading former 1st round pick Marshawn Lynch, it leaves us to question what is Buddy Nix’s next move is? My money says we’ll see Brian Bohm sometime this year and we’ll go another year without a proven quarterback.
It’s been a very long 10 years without being in the playoffs, and if this is a so called rebuilding year, I hope that we finish 0-16 so we can get first pick and draft a QB, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we drafted another running back.
On a positive note, we’ll get to see a lot more of C.J. Spiller. He gives the fans something to cheer about, and after last week we need it.
I will take Jacksonville 17-14 with a game winning field goal. Hopefully I’m wrong and my mom is right.
P.S. If Edwards comes in the game and wins it for the Jaguars, I’ll be happy for him. I think we gave up on him too early.
