This is the game that scares me. After what Cleveland did to the Bengals last week, they are a streaky team and could get on a role. Hopefully last weekend was a wake up call for the Falcons’ offense. The last drive and a half was awesome. A little scary but awesome indeed. If the Falcons can play like that every time they have the ball, this game should be a rout. If not it is going to be a long day. Except for one game against Arizona the Falcons’ high powered offense hasn’t looked all that high powered. They need to show up and bring it.
On to the Defense, the Falcons’ D has been the bright point keeping the Falcons in every game. They have created the turnovers in key situations. But keeping the team close to make a last minute field goal for the win, credit the defense. Keep up the good work. According to coach Smith, this weekend is going to be the hardest so far. He said it is going to be a two chinstrap day. Hard hitting and big blows day.
A win for the Falcons is in order. Just what will it be, a defensive struggle low scoring, an offensive struggle low scoring or the team that smashed the football against the Cardinals en route to a blowout. At least it is early enough in the season that an outdoor game in Cleveland shouldn’t be a factor.
Prediction: Falcons 27 Browns 17
