Baltimore Ravens click on all cylinders to beat the Denver Broncos, 31-17. The Ravens improve to 4-1 on the season while the Broncos fall to 2-3.

The Ravens finally get their running game on track with 233 total rushing yards. Ray Rice lead the way with 27 carries for 133 yards with a pair of one yard touchdown runs. The Ravens dominated the time of possession, 36:17 to 23:43, due to the running game. They were able to keep Denver’s high powered passing attack on the sideline.

Joe Flacco didn’t have an impressive game, but he didn’t need to. Flacco completed 56 percent of his passes for 196 yards with a rushing touchdown but no turnovers. The Ravens offense played mistake free, something they haven’t done all season.

Kyle Orton was able to put up some good numbers, 314 yards passing with two touchdowns, but the Broncos were playing from behind most of the game and needed to force the ball down the field. Brandon Lloyd had another monster game with 135 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

The Ravens defense didn’t allow Broncos worst rushing attack to get rolling. They only allowed 39 rushing yards for the entire game. Surprisingly, Ravens’ depleted secondary is ranked second in the NFL in total passing defense. It’s only going to better with the return of safety Ed Reed. John Harbaugh expects Reed to start after next weeks game once he’s placed of the physically unable to perform list.

The 4-1 Baltimore Ravens travel to Gillette Stadium to play the 3-1 New England Patriots.
