Iowa State is heading in as an underdog to #6 Oklahoma this weekend. The Sooners are one of the teams in the hunt for the national title. According to the head coach Bob Stoops the Oklahoma has not played their best yet, which is bad news for the Cyclones. The Sooners haven’t really won all that big thus far this season except when they beat Florida State 47-17. But no matter what how they win they have so far, currently the Sooners are undefeated and have a power ranking of #8.
In a way Iowa State is similar to Oklahoma by the fact they too haven’t play their best either. One week the offense might shine and the next week the defense might shine. To defeat the Sooners the Cyclones will need a whole team effort. Especially since they are on the road and Oklahoma has won the past 11 meetings between the two teams. The Iowa State defense will need to stop Oklahoma’s offense which has a few dangerous weapons like wide receiver Ryan Broyles who has caught 518 yards and 4 touchdowns so far and running back DeMarco Murray who has rush for 551 yards and has 9 touchdowns. The uncertain for the Cyclones offense will be if running back Alexander Robinson can play or not he suffer an injury last week against Utah, he will be a game time decision.
Iowa State fans I don’t want to sound negative here but don’t look for a victory this week, but just hope for a good whole team effort by the Cyclones.
