Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper officially proclaimed this Sunday as “Orange Sunday.” So I sure hope everyone remembers to wear orange. Unless they’re too beat up from last week.
While Orton continues to prove he’s a good quarterback I want to know: where is the rest of the team? We all know the Broncos have little (inches) to no running game, so how does McDaniels fix that? Is he going to fix it? Or is the rest of the season going to be blue and orange knives digging into the soul of the Broncos fans?
The Jets beat the Vikings on Monday night with a very interesting game after a lightning delay. As we’re a passing team, the biggest worry is about Revis (although he’s still uncertain) and Cromartie who was instrumental in covering Moss. I expect to see Cromartie and Revis being tough for the Broncos this coming Sunday.
The running game isn’t the only problem for the Broncos, the list of injuries keep stacking up. Safeties Brian Dawkins and Darcel McBath have already been ruled out as well as cornerback Andre’ Goodman and linebackers Robert Ayers and Wesley Woodyard. Although these injuries are a huge worry for Broncos fans, McDaniels insists they aren’t conceding anything. “No, not at all. We’re ready to go,” he said. “This is just part of the season.”
Here we come Orange Sunday… May the Broncos win at home? Well, I do hope so.
