U.T. v.s. Nebraska

We’ve had some time to get over the loss to OU. Now, UT heads to Nebraska. Crap.
The Longhorns defense showed some good things against OU, but the Cornhusckers run a much different offense. They run the ball ALOT. 4th best in the nation. think about the game against UCLA and multiply that by 10. Thats what could happen Saturday. Don’t forget about Nebraska’s defense either ( just over 12 ppg given up). I’ve said it before, I’m loyal to the Horns so here is why I think they have a chance. Slim but still a chance.
1. The UCLA game. The Horns saw nothing but running from them, allthough Taylor Martinez can throw some, he’s gonna run most of the day.
2. UT’s speed and athletisism on defense. If UT’s speed can contain Martinez just enough to make throw and make mistakes UT can stay in the game.
Ofcourse these are big ifs. You never know though.
UT’s run game is gonna be shut down Nebraska in all likely hood. It’s up to Gilbert to finally show the nation who he is and who he can become. For UT there isn’t any national title hopes on the line, no Big 12 title, nothing to lose. Just go out there and ruin Nebraska’s season.
With Nebraska wanting revenge for last years Big 12 title game, it’s gonna be very very tough to walk into their house and win. But thats why college football and sports in general is so awesome. On any given day, on any given field, anybody can beat anybody. Hostory can be made at any time. Legends can be born at any time. Maybe it’s Gilberts time, maybe it’s Fozzy’s time, maybe someone on defense. You just never know.
I’ll take UT winning 27-24. No stupid penalties please.
