The Redskins started this season with Sunday Night Football against their arch rival, at home and won. Now 5 weeks later, it’s another SNF showdown at home, but this time against the 3-2 Indianapolis Colts. The Redskins have not met the Colts since October 22, 2006 with Joe Gibbs at the helm (they lost though). For all you tailgaters out there, Redskins lots are open at 2PM Sunday and there will be 4 giant video boards will be located around the lots showing the afternoon games (specifically the 4PM Dallas game).
The Redskins are still struggling on defense (or at least that’s what the stats show). The Colts on the other hand, have no ground game, so the only hope for the Redskins is to rack up points early and use their running game to control time of possession.
We have a #4 rated pass offense (Colts) against a #30 pass defense as well as the Redskins’ #7 pass offense against #13 pass defense. Numbers alone it does not look good for the Redskins, but what the stats do not show are the few plays that this defense have been able to put together that make the difference in the outcome of a game.
Official Injury List
On Albert Haynesworth: “Anytime you’re away for six days, there’s a loss of conditioning obviously,” Shanahan said. “We’ll want to see where he’s at both physically and mentally. We understand what happened, and we understand the crisis that he was dealing with. Hopefully he can get back in shape.”

About the Author
Written by Mercedes Green
I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
