The Chargers go on the road to face the 2-3 Rams this week. The Rams have played better then expected so far this season, with young QB Sam Bradford starting from day one and playing pretty well. The Rams have had some injuries early this year with Donnie Avery and Mark Clayton being lost for the season. The Rams don’t have much fire power on offense and the Chargers should be able to play man to man on the outside against the Rams weak receivers. Danny Amendola (a Wes Welker type) did have 12 catches last weak and looks like Bradfords favorite target. When talking about stopping the Rams it starts and ends with Steven Jackson. He is a powerful dynamic back who also can make big plays in the passing games with screens and plays out of the backfield. The Chargers should stack the box and force the Rams and Bradford to beat them through the air. The Rams defense is not very good the Chargers should have no problem moving down the fiel;d and scoring often. If the Chargers don’t turn the ball over, the lead should get large and Tolbert and Mathews will see plenty of action. The Chargers really need this win and I can’t even fathom them losing this game. The Rams are not on the same level as the bolts. Coming into the season the Chargers had Super Bowl thoughts and the Rams were rebuilding hoping to win 5-6 games.
Weekly Prediction- Chargers 27 Rams 10
Season Prediction- 9-7
