SUCH a great game, to lose it on a fumble and a penalty. Those with orange and blue hearts are slashed open with nothing left but drips drying up knowing that it shouldn’t have happened.
If it’s possibly possible to look past the pain of the game but to the actual plays of the game. The Broncos managed to run the ball for something more than inches. The Broncos were NOT made to lose to the Jets, as the New York Times sarcastically asserted. The Broncos were ahead of the Jets in rushing yards for most of the game.
Highlights: Tim Tebow scored his first touchdown! Knowshon Moreno was back and that did help our running game. Beyond that the Broncos looked like a better team Instead of being “made” to lose to the Jets, they put up a good fight and for a long time the Broncos looked as though they could really win it. While they didn’t, they looked like they could. Where as in some of the other games this year it was clear from the start that the Broncos didn’t stand a chance.
They played well…but in the end it was mistakes that killed them. Mistakes that should not have happened. It’s been said, and it will be repeated: The Broncos are in transition. They’re improving and while it is difficult to focus on that currently, it’s the bottom line if we’re really looking to see the Broncos become the top team they were once and meant to be again.
