-The Canadiens have collected 7 out of the 10 possible points this season.
-This is the Devils worst start since 1983 but Brodeur always steps it up against the Habs. 1.78 GAA and .931 save PCT in his career vs Montreal.
P1 18:13- A great 1st shift for the Gionta-Gomez-Pyatt line. 2 shots on that shift
P1 16:23- Not much of a hockey fight. We got to see a lot of the referees back on that one.
P1 15:40- Carey Price will want that one back. Hopefully the crowd won’t take it out on the goalie
P1 13:25- The referee getting physical with Brodeur behind the net !
P1 13:16- That looks like a very demanding schedule for the rest of the month
P1 11:21- That looked like an interference penalty
P1 9:00- 3 shots for Cammalleri so far in the period
P1 0:00- The 2nd part of the period went by fast
1st period analysis
The Devils were opportunist in the 1st when Parise scored a goal that Carey Price should have stopped. The Habs outshooting their opponents 10 to 3. Gionta had the most ice-time for the Canadiens with 7:22. He took 2 shots after 20 minutes of play.
P2 17:30- Canadiens 1st penalty kill of the night. It is one of those games that seems like next goal wins
P2 15:22- Maybe Pyatt with Gionta and Gomez was not such a bad idea after all
P2 9:43- Lapierre looked like Lemieux on that play
P2 7:09- I am not sure about that call against Plekanec. The player was falling on the ice
P2 6:30- Gionta has taken 4 out of the Canadiens 13 shots
P2 5:00- Looked like a weak goal when you look at live but the puck was deflected. 2 goals on 9 shots for the Devils
P2 2:57- Canadiens 1st power play of the night. This would be a great time for it to start working
P2 2:49 – Oh well
P2 1:23- They are not helping themselves with all these penalties
2nd period analysis
There is a total of 26 shots on goal after 2 periods of play. This game is not the most exciting. Canadiens not helping themselves by taking 4 penalties in the 2nd period
P3 20:00- Lars Eller has played 5:32 after 2 periods of play
P3 16:21- Not looking good for the Habs now
P3 14:00- The good news is that this PP lasted longer then the first one.
P3 8:00- Not much energey by both teams
P3 5:45- The Power Play used to be the Habs bread and butter. What happened to it?
Post-game analysis
-Another shutout for Martin Brodeur. He has gotten a shuout on both of the Devils wins this season.
-Hal Gill and Josh Gorges -3
- Brian Gionta took 8 shots on goal
- Habs face the Senators in Ottawa on Saturday

I should ask before we go on the air together, are you surprised by the start the Habs have gotten off to, or is this pretty much where they belong?
Chris Galanopoulos Oct 21 201010:58 pm
They are 3-2-1 after tonight’s game, so they are pretty much where I expected them

Be ready for a Price-check! LOL!
