After taking a vicious slash from Brandon Dubinsky last night, Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli announced tonight that Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk suffered a slight fracture to his left ulna (bone in forearm) in the first period of last night’s game with the Rangers. He missed a shift but returned to finish the first period. He did not return for the rest of the game. Boychuk is expected to be sidelined for approximately four weeks.
With Boychuk out, I’d expect to see Adam McQuaid in the lineup on Thursday night against Toronto. McQuaid has been a healthy scratch in every game to this point.
