Fantasy Week 7 round up

Well for those of you out there who played Kenny Britt or Darren McFadden, bravo, you guys definitely cashed in this week. For those of you who didn’t take solace in the fact that they’re still on your team, and in some cases on the waivers still. I didn’t mention it last week, but if you grabbed up, or even have just held onto Big Ben all season, congrats as well. Roethlisberger has been everything owners have hoped he’d be so far since his return and he definitely paying off for those who held onto Hines Ward or Mike Wallace. There were no significant injuries to speak of with real fantasy impact on the field this week.

However, for those of you looking to make some moves at almost the halfway point of this season here are some players too look at.

Kenny Britt – He’s got to be at the top of everyone’s list after putting up 225 yards and 3 TDs against the Eagles. Britt could have had another long 4th TD had he not stepped out of bounds on short pass. Now he won’t likely put up these kind of numbers each week, especially when Vince Young comes back, but he has been a solid TD threat in each game so far this season even when Young. This performance will likely solidify his presence in the offense and plays will be drawn up for him. He is currently available in 34% of leagues, but that won’t last for long.

Owen Daniels – Before the bye week Daniels was had the second most targets for Houston in their comeback victory over Kansas City, with 5 receptions 79 yards. Coach Kubiak said that Daniels is finally returning to the form he had last season before a season ending knee injury. Daniels was easily one of the top 5 tight ends before his injury and this is about the timetable for a return, though he has been playing throughout the season. He’s worth a grab as a back up tight end and as an eventual starter. He will be the second target that Matt Schaub looks to after Andre Johnson. He is available inĀ  54% of leagues currently, so if you have a spot grab him up.

Donald Brown – I mentioned earlier that Addai has had nagging injury issues, though he is really more of a walking injury, and that should open the door for Donald Brown to finally get some real carries in a game. It’s being reported that Addai may be out for several weeks too, so grabbing up Brown is great move with the Colts wanting to see what their number 1 draft pick from a few years back has, especially with Addai in a contract year. He is available in 74% of leagues currently.

Mike Williams – After a lot of hype and an up and down start to the season Mike Williams is the number 1 receiver and top option in Seattle. After grabbing 10 receptions for 123 yards against the Bears, Williams hauled in 11 receptions for 87 yards and a touch. He may not have these types of stats weekly, but he is clearly the primary target for Matt Hasselbeck. He is available in 70% of leagues. Get him on your bench.

Some other notables, are Steve Johnson WR BUF, he has been scoring in practically every game he has started in, but is on a bad Buffalo team. Upside is they’ll be down a lot and throwing a lot. David Gettis WR CAR, he had 125 yards and 2 TDs against the 49ers and could be a good filler, remember he is 2nd receiver to Steve Smith though.
