The Ravens escape the upset against the Bills and improve to 5-2 on the season. The Ravens won, 37-34. The Bills are still winless on the season, 0-6. The Ravens played their second straight overtime game but this time they won.

In overtime, the Ravens won the coin toss and received the ball. They go three-and-out and punted the ball to the Bills.

Three plays later, Fitzpatrick throws a four yard pass to Shawn Nelson which got held up by several Raven defenders. This is a play that should have been whistled dead because it looked like forward progression was stopped. Well, Ray Lewis plays all out till the whistle is blown. He stripped the ball from Nelson and recovers it himself. Four plays later, Billy Cundiff makes a 38-yard field goal to win the game. The Ravens defense created four turnovers in the game.

The Bills are the 30th ranked offense in the league but still managed 506 total yards against one of the best defenses in the league. Ryan Fitzpatrick had a tremendous game throwing for 374 yards and four touchdowns. He did throw two interceptions to Ed Reed, he’s first game back from the physically unable to perform list.

Joe Flacco had a great game getting his offense on track to get them back in the game. Flacco threw for 250 yards and three touchdown passes, two to Todd Heap and one to Anquan Boldin; the Ravens were losing 24-10 midway through the second quarter. The Ravens score 24 unanswered points, 17 of them came in 54 seconds.

The Ravens go into the bye week 5-2. In week nine, The Baltimore Ravens host the Miami Dolphins.
