Temple Bulls over Buffalo

42-0, wow. Over the last couple of weeks the Owls haven’t played their best football. That changed after an impressive performance on Saturday. All facets of the Temple football team showed up.
The Owls saw a change at starting quarterback. Mike Jerardi got the nod at starting quarterback over Chester Stewart. Jerardi went 9/15 for 131 yards and three touchdowns. He did throw two picks.
Temple’s offense got off to a hot start, scoring four touchdowns in their first five possessions.
In my preview, I mentioned that Buffalo struggled against power rushing teams. Both Bernard Pierce and Matt Brown ran for over a 100 yards. Brown saw it 20 times for 109 yards, while Pierce carried it 23 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
The Temple defense played very well. Safety Jaiquawn Jarrett continues to show why he may be an NFL Draftee. He keeps improving. The Buffalo offense did not cross midfield until the 7:34 mark of the 3rd quarter.
I don’t want to read too much into this performance because Buffalo really doesn’t match up well against Temple. Nevertheless, it was nice to see Coach Golden get his troops amped up for the game. Temple has four games left, with the last two having huge MAC implications against Ohio and Miami (Oh).
