Bengals Fall to 2-4

The combination of Matt Ryan and Roddy White manhandled the Bengals defense. The Falcons offensive line gave Ryan time to throw, and Ryan picked the Bengals apart. The highlight of the game came when Matt Ryan threw a perfectly placed moonball off his back foot to White for a 46-yard score. White caught 11 balls for 201 yards and two touchdowns, while Ryan was 24/33 for 299 yards and three touchdowns.

Once again, we saw the Bengals defense generate no pressure on the opposing quarterback. They didn’t record one sack in the game.

Cincinnati looked like they were going to mount a huge comeback when Adam Jones recovered a fumble and returned it 59 yards for the touchdown. This made it 25-24 Bengals. That turned out to be a mirage.

The Falcons got off to such a soaring start, leading it 24-3 at the half. It looked early as if Benson would be carrying the ball a bit more, but once Cincinnati got down early, they had to throw. Palmer went 36/50 for 412 yards and three touchdowns. Most importantly, Palmer did not throw a pick.
