The night that wasn’t – the boo birds come out in Dallas

I have said it before and will say it again, where do I start?   I am getting way to used to writing a blog on yet another Dallas Cowboy loss.

Final score New York Giants-41, Dallas Cowboys 35.  The score is a lot closer than it appears folks as the Cowboys ended up putting some I will say statistical points on late in the game.  Sure the Cowboys led 20-7, than it all went down hill from there with Dallas quarterback Tony Romo going down with what might be a season ending shoulder injury.  Jon Kitna who replaced Romo and has not taken a snap in who knows how long and could not find any niche with the offence, his receivers and it showed.  Kitna was over throwing his receivers and could not find any grove to help in moving the Dallas offence.   I will go as far as saying that at times it looked like the offence was just lolly-gagging out there and not even running patterns or maybe yet, not trying.  First and goal and the 4 receivers look like they are having a conversation with the Giant defence.  The announcers even brought it up, man-on-man and you can’t find an open receiver.

At times it looked like the field was leaning the opposite way the Cowboys were going which does not bode well with this Cowboy fan.

–Where was the defence?—basically no pressure on Eli Manning until maybe the 4th quarter when it was basically too late.  The defence did create 3 interceptions and 3 fumbles for a total of 5 turnovers albeit most of those resulted in ‘too little – too late’ response.

–missed tackles—I counted at least 6 missed tackles on two Giant TD’s.  Not acceptable.

–the Dez Bryant TD that never was.  I know tough call for an official but non reviewable and I chalk that up as just Cowboy lack of luck, skill, talent, emotion, team work, no emotion, no heart, this is what it has come to in Dallas Nation this season.

We’ll the hunt continues to salvage something out of this season, with Romo now potentially done for the season and Kitna being the number 1 guy behind centre, things are not really looking up for the Cowboys.  There are a lot of grey areas in Cowboy Nation this year and what can I say, Jerry Jones, Wade Phillips, players, team, last night they panned the Cowboy sidelines and heads were down, most players by themselves, no one patting each other, lets get a move on.  So we lost, something is missing this year and we will figure it out but it might be too late.  It takes a TEAM effort to win football games; no one player can win a football game by himself.

As always, comments, questions, concerns, clearly someone has something to say….nice stadium, there is always the Texas Rangers, come on folks….
