Bulldogs Can’t Contain Moore as He Leads Boise State to Victory

Boise State had its first real WAC test of the year, and luckily they came out of the game with a victory. Louisiana Tech, who in the past has presented some problems, yet again proved to be a difficult foe for the Broncos to take down. Kellen Moore threw his second pick of the season, and if it weren’t for an almost perfect goal line defense the score would have been much higher.
Boise State got its seventh victory of the year playing on the first Tuesday night game in school history. Kellen Moore did throw one intercerption, but still played one of the best games of the season. Moore was 20 of 28 throwing for two touchdowns, as well as almost averaging 11 yards a pass. Once again Coach Petersen dialed up some trickery. On an end around, wide receiver Austin Pettis threw to the corner of the end zone to a wide open Moore, who caught the first touchdown of his career. Doug Martin yet again showed why he is one of the most dominant running backs in the country, as he ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
Louisiana Tech had its opportunities to pull the game close, but with some costly errors they couldn’t catch up to Boise State. Turnovers, as well as costly penalties, doomed the Bulldogs and as a result they fell to 3-5 on the season. The bright spot for the Bulldogs was the play of its offense. Louisiana Tech was able to amass 394 yards of offense, and running back Lennon Creer had one of his best games rushing running for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
Boise State has a bye week this week. In the coming weeks ahead they play the brunt of their schedule against Hawaii, Nevada, as well as Fresno State.
