The Dallas Cowboys aka ‘circus’ hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars this week-8 of the NFL season.
We all know the Cowboys season is all but over, your starting quarterback is out, the team is 1-5 and well we could sit here and say they just don’t want to play anymore, play for what, the list could be endless. Hey, these guys are professional athletes, they are Dallas Cowboys to boot and losing should not rest easily on their shoulders as it has so far this season. So look for the Cowboys to show up on Sunday and play at 110% (for the first time this season) and try to get a win in absence of their starting QB and show Cowboys fans at home that they will try until the end of the season and at least give the homes fans something to cheer about. Last weeks effort against the Giants was a poor attempt at playing football and that includes the minor element of a comeback albeit too late. This week the troops have to rally behind Jon (I have not started an NFL game since 2008) Kitna at QB and or whomever takes the snaps if the Cowboys give Stephen McGee a chance to take some snaps and or and lets hope not but if Kitna goes down. (I don’t even want to think of that scenario).
For the Cowboys to win they will have to be prepared to throw the ball and exploit the Jaguars poor pass defence. Certainly if the Jon Kitna of years past comes out to play, one thing he still has is a strong arm, let’s just hope the accuracy is there.
Special teams might help in getting a win on Sunday also and look for Dez Bryant to return some kick-offs and punts to put the Cowboys in good field position for Kitna and the offence.
As always noted the Cowboys defence which has also under-achieved this season must step it up a notch, get some turnovers and STOP Jaguars running game led by Maurice Jones-Drew. The status of Jags starting QB David Gerrard is questionable with a concussion but that does not mean the Cowboys defence should not come to play and play hard and help in keeping the Cowboys offence on the field as long as possible….time of possession folks…..
Cowboys win although not sure how they are favoured by almost a touchdown but Cowboys win if even for the fans.
as always ‘comments’ ‘questions’ ‘concerns’, my ears are burning, someone is talking about the Cowboys….
—no talk on coaching changes, last I heard out of Dallas was owner Jerry Jones was sticking to the current Coaching staff and that was end of story….I guess no news is bad news when it comes to that topic….I am as upset about it as you are folks….but lets see what another week of football brings to Dallas Nation, stay positive….
