Shifting The Series to Texas

Down two games in the World Series and you would think the panic button is about to be hit in Texas for tonight’s game three.  I don’t think it is.  One thing that people forget is that a series dosen’t start until a home team losses a game.  Then it becomes a series.  All Texas has to do plain and simple is win out at home this weekend.  Just get this series back to San Francisco and see what can happen.

I have been surprised this series, mostly with the Giants offense.  Credit to them, the Giants have been the better team in the first two games scoring a combined 19 runs in the process and making the Rangers number one and two pitchers scratching their heads.  Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain have overmatched the Rangers hitters and its been pretty damn impressive. One thing that you can’t forget is that this Rangers team could be a powderkeg ready to go off anytime, even in game three tonight.

There are not alot of positives to be talking about right now if your the Texas Rangers.  Your ace got lit up in game one, your bats have calmed by the rough waters of the Bay, you have been outmanaged, and your have been out pitched in the first two games.  What more can you say.  Maybe some home cookin’ will be needed for the Rangers to get back into this series.  Either way, tonight is vital, the Rangers need to win plain and simple, no looking back.  Going down 3-0 in a series would almost assuredly end it.  Win tonight and you are right back in it.

Either way I still don’t think this series is close to being over.  It needs some drama and I think it will come that way in game 3.  The Rangers need a Texas sized comeback to get back into this World Series, they have the chance to do so being at home for the next three games.
